Life a Little Sweeter

Whew!  Reality was a bit of a slap in the face today.  After having such a luxurious and relaxing weekend away, work on a rainy Monday morning kinda hurt.  I walked around in a complete daze all day long 😉

After an hour long SOL administration meeting and grading about 400 papers, I came home to fold the first of five loads of laundry.

Watch Sex and the City (I can’t wait for the new movie!)

And eat about 8 of these babies.  Yum! 🙂

Tonight’s plan is to get caught up on unpacking and to get organized for the week.  It’s going to be a busy one!

On the agenda for this week, I have tutoring, taking dinner to Sarah and Jason so they don’t have to worry about cooking when they bring home their new baby girl :), a hair appointment, and getting things together for Beau and Gen’s engagement party that we are throwing this weekend.

Rather than stress about the long to do list, I’m going to take it one step at a time, take lots of deep breaths, and look forward to the many celebrations surrounding so many of my good friends!  What an exciting week!

Peace out!  And hey!  When the going gets tough, get going making chocolate chip cookies!  They make life so much sweeter!

  1. That cookie looks so good right now…..

    • They were awesome! You can make them a little lighter by using only 1.5 sticks of butter, 2 cups flour, and 1 cup of mini-morsels. Just as yummy, but less calories and fat:)

  2. You totally outdid me on the laundry front – I only did three loads today. 😉

Sounds like you have an exciting upcoming week!! Love your attitude!
